Prepare for the Heat: You’re more likely to need a sun-plan than a rain-plan here in Bakersfield. Prepare with your photographer for the best spots on site to catch quality, squint-free photos! Remember SPF, and consider umbrellas to shield your guests from the sun during the ceremony. Sunglasses are a fun give-away, and printing your program on individual fans is even better. Remember we have cold drinks on-hand!

Help Your Guests Prepare: Your wedding website should include information about your Big Day, your wedding party, your registries and your story as a couple. Equally important, though, is the inclusion of information about how guests should expect to dress – especially if you have guests travelling in from out of town who are less familiar with the weather patterns. As mentioned above, have some SPF on hand, a few extra umbrellas, and lots of water!

Keep the Bugs Away: Aside from having bug spray, a fly-covered wedding cake doesn’t sound especially appetizing. Arrange to have some citronella candles around! They’ll keep the bugs away and add to the romantic ambiance. Win-win!
